Accessibility statement
This webpage describes how we make our website accessible, what we are still improving, and how to get help if something does not work for you.
Our approach to accessibility
Hoist Finance’s corporate website is not subject to the requirements of the Swedish Act (2023:254) on the Accessibility of Certain Products and Services. Nevertheless, we want our website to be accessible and work well for as many people as possible. We therefore continuously work to improve its accessibility and have chosen to provide information about our accessibility efforts and any known limitations
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Most of the website meets this standard, but some parts do not yet. These are listed under “Working towards fulfilling standards” section.
Using our website
Our intention is that you can:
- use the website with only a keyboard – the first link on each page is “Skip to main content”, and a visible outline shows where you are
- use a screen reader – pages have clear headings and labelled menus, and menus tell you whether they are open or closed
- close menus with the Escape key
- turn off animations using your device settings (see “Reduced motion” below)
- use the website on a phone or tablet
AbilityNet has free advice on making your device easier to use.
How to reduce motion and animations
Some parts of the website use movement, such as content that fades in as you scroll and carousels that move on their own. If you turn on the reduced motion setting on your device, the website switches these effects off automatically. There is no separate switch on the website.
To turn on reduced motion:
- Windows 11: Settings > Accessibility > Visual effects, then turn off Animation effects
- Windows 10: Settings > Ease of Access > Display, then turn off Show animations in Windows
- Mac: System Settings > Accessibility > Display, then turn on Reduce motion
- iPhone and iPad: Settings > Accessibility > Motion, then turn on Reduce Motion
- Android: Settings > Accessibility, then turn on Remove animations (on Samsung devices this is under Visibility enhancements)
Known accessibility issues
We are working on the following:
- Some white text placed over photographs at the top of pages does not have enough contrast with the image. We are reviewing the design of these banners.
- Some small labels on coloured page banners and link cards do not have enough contrast.
- The arrow buttons on carousels cannot be used with a keyboard. Where carousel cards are links, you can move between them with the Tab key.
- Selecting a link in the “jump to section” bar scrolls the page but does not move keyboard focus to that section. It also scrolls smoothly when reduced motion is turned on.
- On the Cookie policy page, the link that opens your cookie preferences cannot be used with a keyboard. To change your choices without a mouse, delete this website’s cookies in your browser settings and reload the page to see the cookie banner again.
- Many of our PDF documents, including some annual reports, are not fully accessible to screen readers. If you need a document in another format, please email us (see “Contact us”).
- Some recorded presentations and webcasts do not have captions or transcripts.
How we test accessibility
We test the website against WCAG 2.2 level AA. Our testing includes automated checks with WAVE and Google Lighthouse, manual checks with browser developer tools, keyboard testing, screen reader testing with NVDA, and testing with reduced motion turned on. We also use AI-assisted code review and automated testing with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, and our web team reviews the results.
We test with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows and Mac computers, a 4K monitor, iPad, iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
